This guide explains how to use EventKoi’s event dynamic tags inside Beaver Builder to display event data dynamically in your custom templates.
This feature leverages Beaver Builder’s field connections feature, which lets you pull data from other sources on your site into your Beaver Builder templates.
EventKoi comes with 14 event dynamic tags that you can add to your Beaver Builder templates.
How to link dynamic event data to a Beaver Builder module
To begin, we will use the Heading module as an example and link it to Event Title.
Start by adding a Heading module to a template or themer layout.
Then, instead of typing out the text for the heading, click on the grey + icon next to heading field.

Here you’ll see a dropdown of potential field connections that you can make. Either scroll down till you see EventKoi, or search “Event”. You’ll find 10 data types that you can add.

In our case, we will select “Event Title”. You have the option to Connect the Event Title dynamically to the Heading module, or Insert a shortcode that will achieve the same effect.
Here’s the difference between Connect and Insert:

When you Connect the Event Title to the Heading, you have connecting the entire Heading module to the Event Title. You cannot add any additional text or data to the Heading module anymore.

In contrast, if you Insert the Event Title shortcode to the Heading, you are still able to add more text or more shortcodes inside the Heading module.

Next, you’ll see the option to select an event so that the Heading module knows which event to pull the data from.
If you’re building a template, then select Current Event, which will let you pull from the relevant event that the template is being used for.
If you want a static page, then pick a specific event.
After that, click Save.

You will then see your connected field reflected in your Heading module. If you selected Current Event, then

Customising the module
Because you have connected to a Heading module, you can style the heading module however you wish. Likewise, if you were to connect other modules, you will have the option to style those modules using whatever settings are already available.
