How to add an EventKoi event module in Beaver Builder

Requirements: EventKoi Lite or EventKoi Pro, and Beaver Builder (free)

This guide explains how to add and customise the EventKoi Event module in Beaver Builder. You’ll learn how to display event data, choose which fields appear, and control their styling.

How to add the EventKoi Event module in Beaver Builder

Inside your Beaver Builder page, click on the blue + icon. In the Modules tab, click on the top drop down, then look for EventKoi.

From here, you’ll see two of EventKoi’s available modules: Calendar and Event.

Drag and drop the EventKoi Event module into your page.

Customising the EventKoi Event module

Once you’ve added the Event module, you should find a grey rectangle with the text “Please select an event to display data.” Along with the Event Options pop-up.

What you select next depends on whether you are building a template or a one off page.

If you’re building a template or a themer layout, then for Select Event, you should keep it as “Use current event context”. This will allow the block to stay dynamic.

If you are building a static page, then you should select the specific event you want to pull the data from.

Next, you can add as many data items as you like and change the order or type of data displayed.

Currently, we have over 14 data types you can display.

You also have the following styling options for every single type of event data:

  • Font
  • Style & spacing
  • Text shadow
  • Text color
  • Background color
  • Alignment

Here’s how it looks with an event selected with the following data:

  • Title
  • Datetime
  • Location
  • Details

Custom fields for Beaver Builder?

Rather than overbuilding EventKoi, we try to build the basics well and only add additional features when people want them.

Our custom fields feature is very powerful, but has not yet been connected to Beaver Builder. If we were to build this, you would be able to add custom fields to your events (e.g. add a dress code to your event) and then use the Event module to display the field.

If you would like us to build this, please fill out our feature request form.
